Lumina Paths is a soothing logic puzzle where every level is a small grid of glowing dots. Your task is to link each pair of matching colors with a single line, without letting any two lines cross. The rules fit in one sentence, yet the bigger boards will make you stop and think. Play it free in your browser, no download needed.
What is Lumina Paths?
Lumina Paths, from developer NAbber Games, is a connect-the-colors puzzle in the same spirit as classic "number link" brain teasers. Each board scatters pairs of colored dots across a grid. You draw a path from one dot to its partner, moving through the grid cells. The catch is that paths are not allowed to cross or share a cell, so the route you choose for one color shapes the space left for all the others.
According to the developer, there are 125 hand-tuned levels. They start on a small 5x5 grid that you can solve in seconds and build all the way to an 11x11 board where careful planning matters. Connecting every color clears a level, and filling every single cell with your paths earns a bonus star. Daily quests, unlockable achievements, and a calm original soundtrack round things out.
The neon look is easy on the eyes and suits the relaxed pace. There is no timer pushing you along, so you can take each puzzle at your own speed, which makes it a nice fit for both quick breaks and longer, quiet sessions.
How to Play Lumina Paths
- Find the pairs. Each color appears exactly twice on the grid. Those two dots need to be joined.
- Draw a path. Press on a dot and drag through neighboring cells to the matching dot.
- Avoid crossings. A path cannot pass through a cell that another color already uses.
- Adjust as you go. If a line blocks something, drag from its dot again to redraw it.
- Connect every color. When all pairs are linked, the level is complete.
- Fill the board for a star. Cover every empty cell with your paths to earn the bonus star.
- Use help if needed. Hint shows the next step, and Undo takes back your last move.
Controls
Controls are simple and follow the usual pattern for line-drawing puzzles.
| Action | Keyboard | Mouse | Touch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Draw a path | Not required | Click a dot and drag | Drag from a dot |
| Redraw a path | Not required | Drag from the dot again | Drag from the dot again |
| Hint or Undo | Not required | Click the button | Tap the button |
Tips & Strategies
Connect-the-colors puzzles have a few reliable tricks. Use these and the larger grids become much friendlier.
- Start with the edges. Dots near the border usually have only one sensible route. Locking those in first shrinks the puzzle.
- Connect short pairs early. If two matching dots sit right next to each other or very close, join them immediately. They rarely need a fancy route.
- Hug the walls. Long paths that follow the edge of the board tend to leave the middle open for other colors. Cutting straight across the center often traps someone.
- Watch for dead ends. A single empty cell surrounded on three sides usually has to belong to the path running past it. Use that to decide which color goes where.
- Think in regions. When one path splits the board in two, each remaining pair must sit entirely on one side. If a pair is split across the divide, that path is wrong.
- Aim to fill everything. In most well-made puzzles of this type, the intended answer covers the whole grid. If you have empty cells left, there is often a cleaner solution, and that is where the bonus star comes from.
- Use hints to learn. If you are truly stuck, a hint can reveal a pattern you can reuse on later levels.
